North Place Transformation

Looking at how much space 400 spaces take and the desire line

We had to think about accommodating parking, thermal comfort and pollution (from contaminates, noise, CO2)

After realising I drew too many parking spaces I narrowed it down

Trying to think about green space fitting the desire line, however it didn't make much sense, we were accommodating the parking around the desire line. However as designers we can choose where people go.

Messing around more with potential parking spaces- this process alone took 2 days of the project- I left early so didn't know what would happen to the design till the next day

A final design was decided, next step was to think about the park space, thinking about the slope of the land and SUD's, since the current design doesn't have and SUD's and floods.

The final design isn't finished but this took 3 days to develop

The new design would take 17 years to carbon offset, from a space of asphalt and concrete to a place of greenery
