 Biblioteca Degli Alberi

I like the eclectic grid pattern of the space and the areas of vegetation really pop in contrast to the pale paving. You can clearly see the main walkways being slightly wider and slicing through the space rather than objects being next to it- this is done through pattern-making in select spaces using the circles to cut through. The selection of the circles within the space feels sociable giving opportunities for users to rest and enjoy the visual aesthetics the space has to offer, with different circular spaces offering playgrounds, seating, small forests and amphitheatres. The park offering cultural, educational, social and commercial spaces on the outskirts highlights the park as being the space with the buildings being a small part of the bigger picture.

I like the design, it's modern and has functionality with nothing in the space being there for the sake of it. It has clear intention- being social, being fun and being functional.

It was interesting to see the process of the design using collage to help envision the space and the intentions.
