Year 3- 1- Spetchley Park
Spetchley Park- Worcester- Summer in Bloom
I visited Spetchley Park during the holidays, it was a gorgeous place and well-maintained. There were a few red brick walled gardens and a sprawling estate to meander through. I liked the enclosure the walled gardens offered, with a variety of paths to wander through them and with different planting styles and design choices in each courtyard. The site is rich in history shown through the English garden planting style, the picturesque outlook, with the mixture of the architecture surrounding it.
Ducks were on good form
I really liked these wooden stumps, not sure why the original shrubs were removed but the way they'd been carved out and smoothed afterwards looked very fungal. The shape was very organic but the smoothness of the tops looked out of place for such a course stump.
I have yet to find out what its plant is, I think it's of Asian origin since some of the plantings surround it. The filaments were very soft.
The wooden hut was not safe due to wood rot but the patterns of the roof on the inside were mesmerizing with the repetitive tightly packed branches.
Spetchley Park grows their own food on site
