2- Alney Island- Castle Meads Development

 

An exploration of Castle Meads, this is the area of the site we are further exploring, building on the design concept created from last semester but with more detail. The main thoughts going forward are- creating a more designed events area, some meandering paths with seating, more visual interest in the central area for height, redesigning the building and making the existing paths flow better.

I also want to make clear choices about hard and soft materials- specifying and thinking about what's appropriate for the site which is prone to flooding.
