7- Planting Palette- changes to concept

We tweaked the title concept after talking to our lecturer, and we decided on-

Growth Begins With Reflection

In terms of the design we wanted to split the longboarder into 2 sections to explore the self-reflection in 2 ways, the one side being positive and hopeful and the other side being more critical and repressed emotions we have which we let out in ways such as art and in places we shouldn't express.

I tried picking plants with a variety of heights, densities and colour range approriate to the scheme. I also looked out for plants that paired well together, pollinators and interesting textures. The red is a strong theme throughout the site, representing a red ribbon that links her art and emotions.

My role in the project was picking plants and sorting the costings.
