16- Skillsets

Though I was poorly for the lecture about skillsets we were asked about what they were for homework and these are my answers-

  • Empathetic- empathising with all aspects of work, the people who use sites, animals, the anticipation of how the surroundings will change with the design and how it will be harmonious or not. Using that feeling as a drive to work better and understand everyone better.

  • Collaborative- Working with people, I am interested in participating with people who are keen and have different skillsets to understand them as designers but also to create projects which can be understood from different angles. Working collaboratively is also supportive, emotionally with a workload knowing you can help people out and support them to create a project that meaningful.

  • Active Listener- I am more of a listener than a talking because I want to understand people better, so I know how to approach them. This is applied in projects, I want to hear what people add through their own experiences so projects are given greater insight from a variety of views. I pay attention to details and retain or make note of them.

  • Artistic- I have always been artistic and intend on developing that outside and inside practice, every stage of life has had a different impact on my work depending on the people in my life, events, interests and my reasoning behind my art. The artists I am currently inspired by are Emma Howell, Antony Bridge, Elena Rossato and Tina Maria Elena. I am drawn to art that evokes a feeling I can't explain what, as I enjoy working out the unknown.
