19- Elevator Script Influences
In addition to the elevator pitch exercise, we were asked to think about the things that have brought us to this point of the course, our influences, what we're working on and plans for the future.

Pre-University Influence?
So I chose not to go to university when I finished school because I was fed up with education. I had a few influences throughout the years. I did art and creative media at school so that informed my artistic background and development.
When I was a teenager, I worked in the horticulture department in a supermarket making displays, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Then I worked in Canada and was blown away by the gorgeous landscape, and the harmony that people and nature had with one another through social and physical means. During the pandemic I reassessed what I wanted to do with my life, I looked at the local university and found landscape architecture and felt that fit with me as a person. It's a job that sits well on my moral compass, it's got art, and it's a job with progression. As a person who likes having purpose, it felt right.
I'm glad I had time to figure myself out, I don't think I would have done a good job at a university or have the drive I have today without giving myself time.

What have I learnt
I've learnt about sustainable technology, detailing, my design process, and using computer programs. The projects I've enjoyed the most are in the design project module, I enjoy the exploration process of design and the concept- I do struggle fully committing to a design as I feel it's the kind of thing which is never truly finished and could always be improved.

Plans for the future?
I want to work on projects that will have a positive influence on the planet. Using sustainable means to achieve design.
I want to work with a company that looks after their employees, with an uplifting environment and encourages a work-life balance.
